3D Heart Conduction System Model

The 3D Heart Conduction System Model is a great new addition to our collection of heart models. Created to compliment our 3D Heart model, this product accurately shows the conduction pathway used by the heart to regulate each beat.

It is essential to life for the heart to maintain a regular, rhythmic beat, producing a constant and maximal flow of blood to tissues throughout the body. This activity is controlled by the conduction system, beginning with the pacemaker function of the sinoatrial node (SA node). From here the impulse is sent to the atrioventricular node (AV node), where it then travels down the septum of the heart through the bundle of His where it branches into left and right bundles. These bundles branch further as Purkinje fibers as they surround the left and right ventricles to stimulate individual myocardial cells. This 3D model shows this pathway when combined with our heart model, effectively illustrating the three-dimensional paths of the conduction system described above.

The 3D Heart Conduction System model is available as a static model or animated to sync up with the 3D heart model animation.
