Features of this model include: supporting artery and vein, afferent and efferent arteriole leading to glomerulus contained within Bowman.s capsule, convoluted tubules, Henle.s loop, and the collecting duct leading to the renal pelvis. Understanding the nephron structure of the kidney is key to understanding the basics of blood filtration and urine formation.
